Bathalapalli is village in Anantapur district in the State of Andrapradesh in India, according to Indian population in 2001, the demographic details of Bathallaplli's, total population 35,315 in 8,326 households. The native language of Bathalapalli is Telugu, Urdu, English. Bathalapalli receives lowest rain fall in the state and the rain fall is second lowest in India .The farmers are largely dependent on drought –prone ,rain fed agriculture and mostly single crop of groundnut is sown .Vincent Ferrer (1920-2009) and Ann Ferrer founded Rural Development Trust in 1969. The main motto was to eliminate poverty.
